Presenting at the Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium!
Georgia had the amazing opportunity to give a 15-minute oral presentation at the Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium (GCURS) as a Goldwater Scholar! GCURS is hosted by Rice University and is specifically for undergraduate researchers to give oral presentations on their work! Georgia was in the Inorganic and Materials section, specifically in the medical and environmental applications session and it went very well! She got asked some cool questions from my peers as well as faculty from Rice. She also attended panels and talks about admissions to grad school and applying to fellowships and scholarships which was very informative!
Overall, Georgia got to see some incredibly interesting research being done all over the US as well as meeting the amazing people doing it!
